Hundreds of remote employees began reporting to campus on June 1, many of whom had not been to their normal worksite in over a year. While those employees are adjusting to life with commutes and officemates again, employees who had been working on campus for longer came to work on June 1 to a much more crowded campus.

Regardless of which side of this transition you're on, there can be no arguing that it's been an adjustment for everyone. Join these Circles where we acknowledge and discuss the difficulties of this transition. Anything from missing our pets and long lines in the food court to health concerns and parking congestion is safe to be discussed here.

Used often in the context of mediation and restorative justice, Circles are a discussion group format intended to provide a space where all participants have equal opportunity to be heard and hear others. In a series of turn-based rounds, discussion questions are posed to provoke thoughtful, open conversation, often on difficult or emotionally-charged topics. This is a unique method of communication, and one that is best understood through experience. Shocker Circles are guided by Circle Keepers, staff, faculty, and student volunteers who have been trained in Circle methodology by KIPCOR.

This Circle will be held virtually over Zoom. Preregistration is required, and each Circle is limited to ten participants. Registrants will receive an Outlook event invite with Zoom link to the email provided.
