Thousands of WSU students and faculty made an abrupt transition to online learning in 2020, and while some have thrived, others have struggled. Join these Circles to discuss your experience as a remote teacher or student, what you’ve learned, and how you’re preparing to return to an in-person classroom experience. If you've already begun teaching or attending classes in-person, join these Circles to share your transition story with others.

Used often in the context of mediation and restorative justice, Circles are a discussion group format intended to provide a space where all participants have equal opportunity to be heard and hear others. In a series of turn-based rounds, discussion questions are posed to provoke thoughtful, open conversation, often on difficult or emotionally-charged topics. This is a unique method of communication, and one that is best understood through experience. Shocker Circles are guided by Circle Keepers, staff, faculty, and student volunteers who have been trained in Circle methodology by KIPCOR.

This Circle will be held virtually over Zoom. Preregistration is required, and each Circle is limited to ten participants. Registrants will receive an Outlook event invite with Zoom link to the email provided.
