The WSU Symphonic Band is comprised of some of the finest students with diverse experiences and degree programs at Wichita State. The WSU Symphonic Band is comprised of some of the finest students with diverse experiences and degree programs at Wichita State University. Focusing on repertoire that highlights large forces of winds and percussion, the Symphonic Band performs traditional repertoire as well as new works to create meaningful concerts for performers and audiences alike. Led by Dr. Timothy Shade and often a guest conductor or two, the Symphonic Band is a wonderful, high-level, apprentice-based ensemble for wind band performance.

WSU Students can request their free student tickets in advance by going to the Fine Arts Box Office located in Duerksen Fine Arts Center during operating hours. Must show WSU student ID.
