High-technology laboratory and research facility

The Human Performance Lab gives students hands-on training with the latest technology including metabolic carts, strength dynamometers, DEXA for body composition analysis, postural stability platforms, and much more.

A current graduate school student, Bella is a personal trainer and social media content creator at Amplify, coaches Shockwave Volleyball and the WSU Rowing Team, works as an RBT for Summit Behavioral Services, and contributes to the NASA SUITS challenge. Despite her packed schedule, she embraces her applied learning experiences with enthusiasm and dedication.

Jose Miranda, a first-generation student, chose Wichita State for its exercise science program and to remain close to home. He is also a loyal Shocker basketball fan, so staying close to Charles Koch Arena mattered.

Wichita State's Marissa Jensen is halfway through her master’s degree in exercise science. She is a two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic selection with a 4.0 grade-point average. She has competed in the NCAA West Preliminaries in Fayetteville, Ark., for two seasons straight.
