Carlos Rangel, a 2024 graduate in Applied Computing with minors in Psychology and Criminal Justice, began his journey with Ennovar as a SOC Analyst at Spirit AeroSystems before being promoted to a Tier II SOC Analyst. Today, he works as an IT Technician at the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, where he supports a wide range of IT needs including printers, workstations, and mobile devices.

Carlos credits Ennovar for sharpening his technical and interpersonal abilities.

“Ennovar helped me gain the problem-solving and leadership skills needed for my current job role, as well as reigniting my passion for using technology as an avenue to help others,” he shared. He especially values the mentorship he received during his time with Ennovar, saying, “The people who I met along the way, especially my former SOC leadership (shoutout to Colby, Caroline, and Elijah) and Spirit AeroSystems mentors (shoutout to Angela, Marie, Mark, and Ken), helped me build up the mindset and skillset to be successful in my current career.”

What stands out most from his time at Ennovar are the connections he made. Even through ups and downs, the people around him motivated him to keep showing up and performing his best. These days, Carlos spends time lifting weights at the gym, traveling, and recently picked up fishing as a new hobby. He encourages current students to “always be the best person you can be and tackle every challenge with everything you’ve got. Being a team player and great person to be around will get you further and open many doors.”

He leaves everyone with a quote that has stayed with him:
“No matter what your dream is, you have to dedicate yourself entirely to it.” – Ayrton Senna.
