Sophia Hunt, a Cybersecurity major graduating in May 2026, works as a Tier 2 Security Operations Center Analyst at Spirit AeroSystems. In her role, she monitors and investigates potential security threats, digs into alerts and logs, and coordinates responses when issues need deeper investigation. A big part of her job also involves mentoring new analysts and serving as an escalation point for complex alerts. “I like my job because every day is different, and it is very fulfilling to solve problems and see the results of the work that is done,” she shared.

Sophia credits Ennovar for giving her space to grow both technically and personally. “Being here has pushed me to grow a ton, both in my technical skills and through leadership. I've had the chance to lead investigations, build out training programs, and learn from some very talented people,” she said. Those experiences have not only strengthened her technical knowledge but also boosted her confidence.

Her interest in cybersecurity began with a love for both technology and problem-solving. “I've always been drawn to problem-solving and technology, and cybersecurity felt like the perfect mix of the two. The idea of protecting people and organizations from threats really clicked with me,” she explained. Sophia hopes to continue exploring the field, building her technical expertise, and eventually finding her niche. Long term, she aims to combine her hands-on work with mentoring and supporting future teams.

For Sophia, the best part of Ennovar is the team she works with. “My favorite part is definitely the people. Security can be high-pressure, but working alongside such a supportive and trustworthy team makes all the difference.”

In her free time, Sophia runs a Dungeons & Dragons campaign as the game master and loves unwinding with a good book, a video game, or quality time with her dog.
