Overview
Dr. Sourabh Bose is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Computing at
Wichita State University, where he has taught since 2019. He teaches undergraduate
and graduate courses in programming, algorithms, machine learning, reinforcement learning,
databases, and related areas of computer science.
His teaching emphasizes problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and the connection
between theoretical concepts and practical implementation. He regularly incorporates
programming exercises, applied projects, visual explanations, and hands-on experimentation
to help students develop strong computational foundations.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Bose advises and mentors graduate students in the School
of Computing. He assists students with academic planning, research development, and
progress toward their educational and professional goals.
His research interests include reinforcement learning, transfer learning, imitation
learning, structured representation learning, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
His work broadly explores how intelligent systems can learn reusable representations,
adapt knowledge across tasks, and improve decision-making from limited feedback.
