Freshman: Hollinger has been pre-selected for her freshman year, she is the only lefty on the women’s team currently which brings a new look at the lanes and new opportunities for the team. Starting off the season, Hollinger made her first All-Tournament Team placing 4th at the Mid States Championships, she averaged a 208 for 5 games. She has a Top 25 placement this season at SWIBC III (24th) with an exceptional average of 231 for 3 games. Her end of season average is a 207 for 10 games.
Before WSU: Before Hollinger came to Wichita State University, she was a 4-Time Lower Delaware Scratch All-Event Champion as well as a 4-Time Delaware Pepsi tournament Champion. Hollinger was a 2-Time JBT Runner-up. In 2018, she was the Delaware Top 15 Tournament Scratch Champion. She was the Delaware Peninsula Scholarship Tournament Champion. Hollinger is also a Delaware USBC Hall of Fame Inductee.
Personal: The daughter of Tina Desmond and Mark Hollinger, Sydney was born August 22, 2002. She has one sister, Darby Hollinger. Sydney is a Management major with a minor in Operations Management. She is a Delaware USBC Hall of Fame inductee. She currently holds a 3.45 Cumulative GPA at Wichita State.
