The Human Resources Compensation team is responsible for the administration of compensation programs for Wichita State University. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a uniform system of job descriptions as well as the job catalog.
  • Identifying the appropriate job for new positions.
  • Developing and maintaining a competitive salary structure for non-teaching positions.
  • Responding to inquiries, advising and administration of applicable policies, guidelines and procedures in accordance with laws and regulations that impact compensation.

Employees in the following status or division of the University are not included in the compensation program: temporary positions, lecturers or visiting professors, student employees, coaches, and employees in the Division of Industry and Defense Programs.
