Why the Docking Survey?
Wichita State University participates in the Docking Institute Staff Satisfaction Survey as part of a Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) initiative that includes all six Regents universities. The survey measures employee satisfaction among Unclassified Professional (UPS) and University Support Staff (USS), focusing on topics such as morale, appreciation, compensation, workload, and workplace culture.
The university has consistently taken part in the Docking Survey on a three‑year cycle, with documented surveys in 2019, 2022, and 2025, allowing WSU to track trends over time and compare its results against statewide benchmarks. This consistent participation ensures the university remains responsive to staff needs and aligned with systemwide expectations for employee experience and workplace quality.
