May 19, 2014 — By WSU News Services — A Trisagion and funeral service for retired WSU professor Tony Gythiel will be held at 7 p.m. today (Monday, May 19) at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E. 13th. Graveside interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Preston, Kan. Gythiel was on the faculty from 1971-2010, teaching medieval literature and history.
