A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at East Heights United Methodist Church, 4407 E. Douglas. Savaiano began his career at the Universty of Wichita in 1946 and became head of the Spanish department in 1947. In the 1960s, he helped found the WSU Summer Program in Puebla, Mexico. He retir
