The Wichita State University Formula SAE team, also known as Shocker Racing, is a student organization dedicated to the design, fabrication, testing, marketing and racing of a small, open-wheel, formula-style racecar for two yearly engineering design competitions sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers. Founded in 2007, the team consists of students mainly from engineering majors, but all majors and years are welcomed. Shocker Racing is not only involved in the two international competitions but also numerous autocrosses in Kansas, Nebraska, Texas and Colorado.
