English Literature and Composition Pedagogy

The Graduate Certificate in English Literature and Composition Pedagogy is a 12-credit hour program designed for students interested in specializing in literature and composition pedagogy at the graduate level. The certificate is particularly suitable for the the high school teacher or community college instructor interested in advance graduate coursework and the general student seeking to expand their humanities skills. The credit hours can be used toward the MA degree requirements, if desired, once students are admitted to the degree program. 

Students can take classes both in-person and online, depending upon course availability. The certificate requirements can be met in one to two years and include a flexible course of study, allowing up to six hours in electives chosen in consulation with the Graduate Coordinator.
