Japanese Contest at KU

Japanese Contest will be from 10am to 3pm on March 2nd at Kansas City Art Institute. Events include Kana Karuta for 1st year language students, Kanji Karuta for 2nd year and beyond, and Mail-in Calligraphy and Tanka (Japanese and /or English).  For detail, click here

Japanese Contest at KU on 3/3/18

Japanese Contest will be from 10am to 4pm on March 3rd at Kansas Union of Kansas University. Events include Kana Karuta: for beginners (HS and College students), Kanji Karuta (JLPT L5 and L4 kanji) 2nd, 3rd & 4th year HS and College students), Mail-in Calligraphy and Tanka (any level student), and Kahoot game of Japan Facts and Trivia. Other highlights for contestants, teachers and attendees include: Conversation Corner, yukata wearing, calligraphy demonstration, mochi making, East Asian Library Tour, Japanese language and culture networking, and more. Attending the contest will be extra credits.
