SASI: Science of Autism and Social Identity
The SASI Lab investigates how autism and social identity intersect to shape development, experiences, and opportunities across the lifespan.
The SASI lab focuses on research related to the measurement of autism and the exploration of autistic identity. Projects include those that seek to evaluate the specificity of different measures of autistic symptoms and to refine screeners for improved identification of autism in generalist practices. In addition, projects in this lab seek to explore perceptions of autistic symptoms and experiences from the perspective of those who have a diagnosis as well as those who self-identify as autistic.
