The Psychology Department uses the SONA Experiment Management System to oversee student participation in departmental research. This system is available to Psychology undergraduate students to use for acquiring course credit or extra credit in their Psychology courses. Students are typically required to complete 16 credits of participation during the Fall and Spring semester.

Participation

Both faculty and graduate students of the Psychology Department use the SONA system to recruit participants for their experiments. If you're interested in Psychology, participating in experiments would be a great way to see all the different areas of research taking place in our department.

If you are a student and would like to sign up for experiments, please visit the SONA website.

Which Wichita State email to use?

If you plan on using your WSU email for your SONA account, please use your WSU email account that ends with "@shockers.wichita.edu" and NOT your WSU email that has your ID included in it.

Additional Information

You can also explore the SONA Documentation for an in-depth explanation of every SONA feature. If you require further assistance, or if you're a researcher or instructor and would like to request an account, please contact the system administrator, George Altman, at gcaltman@shockers.wichita.edu.
