What is the Global Village Assembly?

The Global Village Assembly is an annual open mic event hosted by Women's, Ethnicity, and Intersectional Studies (WEIS). Each year, it centers on a theme relevant and related to current conversations on gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class, and the intersectional experience at WSU. This event is open to students, faculty, and staff across the university and is a unique opportunity to share about life at WSU and consider changes that we can all do to provide a more equitable space of belonging.

Thanks for making Global Village Assembly 2025 a success!

Stay tuned for information on Global Village Assembly 2026, coming in October!

I have come to believe over and over again that what is most important to me must be spoken, made verbal and shared, even at the risk of having it bruised or misunderstood.
