Call for Artists:
Wichita State’s student-run ShiftSpace Gallery seeks participants for September’s Roll With It exhibition and competition. Participants are free to decorate, paint, sculpt, or manipulate their boards in any way they’d like. The exhibition will open from 6–9 p.m. Sept. 4 at ShiftSpace during Wichita’s First Friday gallery crawl. Visitors are invited to vote for their favorite board, and three cash prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be awarded to the top three artists.
Alumni and other community members are also welcome to participate. Participants will provide their own board, and other community members will be charged a $15 entrance fee and provide their own board. All artists retain ownership of their boards and are welcome to list their work for sale.
All participants will be required to submit their decks from 5–7 p.m. Aug. 25 at ShiftSpace Gallery inside Groover Labs, 334 N. St. Francis St.
