Graduate CertificateComputational Data Science

Wichita State's graduate certificate in computational data science is designed for students with backgrounds in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or other related fields. You'll gain a strong understanding of fundamental data science principles and their application. And you'll acquire in-depth knowledge on data science tools, analytical workflows, machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.

Curriculum

The 12-credit-hour certificate comprises the following courses:

  • Introduction to Data Science
  • Machine Learning

Six hours of electives chosen from: 

  • Introduction to Database Systems
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Deep Learning: Theory, Algorithms and Applications
  • Data Mining
  • Artificial Intelligence for Robotics
