NOTES:
- Figures are estimates given by Host University. Figures were given in host currency and converted to United States Dollars using a floating exchange rate. As of 07/30/2026, 1 Euro (EUR) = 1.15 (USD)
- Shared housing ranges from around 260-450 euros per month.
- Meals are budgeted for 3.30 euros per meal 3 times a day for 150 days.
- Local Transportation is an estimated cost for around 130 euros per semester for unlimited buses and trams in the city.
- No exact estimate was provided by the partner university, however we estimate that you should not spend over $150 for textbooks for one semester.
- Students are required to have Housing and Civil Liability insurance. The university estimates this cost at about 30 euros.
- The BlueCross BlueShield Global Solutions health insurance plan is required for study abroad. The total cost is based on the total number of days the student is abroad. As of August 2026, it cost $1.86 per day for a maximum $100,000 coverage and $100 deductible. 150 days (5 months) will be approximately $279.00. There are different coverage plans available at different prices.
- Student Visa is required in France for students studying more than 3 months. Personal appearance is required at a VFS center in the United States. Appointment fees, processing fees, and shipping fees can vary and will total approximately $510, according to Wichita State student obtaining a visa during Fall 2025.
- Airfare cost was provided according to Orbitz as of 8/3/2026 with travel dates of January 16, 2027 – June 11, 2027. This should provide a good estimate to cover the airfare expense. Estimate includes airfare of $1,100 to Paris-Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airport, then a $17 bus fare to the university.
- Personal expense estimates are provided by Financial Aid for students living on the WSU campus, which will be similar during a study abroad program.
* Tuition and Fees are based on the Resident rate during Fall 2026 for 12 undergraduate credit hours at Wichita State University. Students will pay their current tuition rate during the study abroad program based on their residency and any specific college/department requirements.
