Why I chose my major
I had several different interests that I wanted to study at Wichita State, and the
honors baccalaureate allows me to create my own major, so that I can study multiple
areas at once! I’ve so enjoyed getting to study multiple areas that I am passionate
about. The Honors Thesis also allows me to create a project that ties together everything
that I studied during college. I think that this is a super cool opportunity for me
to have a tangible project to show for all of my college studying!
Involvement
I am currently a member of the Student Ambassador Society, HEALTH student organization,
and Premedical Student Association. I also founded a student organization called the
Arab Students Association during my freshman year of college!
Why I chose Wichita State
Wichita State is AMAZING! Wichita State gives very generous scholarships to students.
I also believe that Wichita State has the kindest staff of any college that I have
toured. The advisors were gracious enough to meet with me before I even graduated
high school, and the welcoming spirit that Wichita State shares has continued throughout
my college experience! I also get to live at home, and it’s so nice to attend a college
in the town I grew up in!
Favorite thing about WSU
The people truly make this university. My professors have gone above and beyond to
help me out with office hours and extra studying. Our advisors are also extremely
helpful! I also love all of the flowers that are all around campus! Lastly, Wichita
State does so much to help prepare students for the real world. It truly feels that
Wichita State wants us to succeed, not just during college, but after college too.
There are so many opportunities for applied learning and career growth.
