As part of Chartwells’ Joy-Ful Program, Wichita State will host a Thank-Ful, a Thanksgiving-themed event 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 18 at Shocker Dining Hall.

Thank-Ful is a nationwide event taking place at more than 300 U.S. college and university campuses. WSU students will join millions of others nationwide to simultaneously partake in Thank-Ful and celebrate togetherness, give thanks and fight food insecurity.

The Thanksgiving meal will feature staples such as turkey, stuffing, cranberry crumble and sweet potato pie. The event also provides students an opportunity to show their gratitude for someone or something they appreciate with a thankful wall covered in thank you notes and letters. As part of the event, Wichita State’s dining team will also be donating 100 meal vouchers to help combat food insecurity on campus.

Members at the event can also participate in community give-back activities to help fight food insecurity on campus and in the local community. These activities include a canned food drive to donate to the Shocker Support Locker, and an opportunity to decorate cookies that will go to the Lord’s Diner.
