The Battin-Lester Corporate Responsibility Outstanding Essay Competition is intended to promote campus and community discussion about civic engagement, corporate responsibility, and nurturing an inclusive Wichita community. Winners are selected by a committee of reviewers and announced in March. 

• Award: Up to $2,500 for the top essay. Up to $1,000 for a second-place essay.
• Eligibility: Undergraduate students enrolled full or part-time at Wichita State University
• Submission Deadline: February 1
