The University Libraries is hosting the virtual U.S. Patent and Trademark Office series “Intellectual Property for Beginners†beginning with An Overview of Intellectual Property, Friday, October 19 from 11 am-1 pm in Ablah Library, Room 204.Â
Part I in the series will focus on an introduction to the different types of IP including utility patents, design patents, trade secrets, copyright, and trademarks, how to research/determine if an idea is novel, and the comparison between a provisional and non-provisional patent application.
