College of Education Centennial Open House
The Wichita State University College of Education will celebrate its centennial with a Centennial Open House on April 10–11, 2026, in Corbin Education Center. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and community partners are invited to return to campus to celebrate 100 years of the College of Education and its impact on education and communities across Kansas and beyond.
Founded in 1926 with two professors and about two dozen students, the College of Education now serves over 2,000 students and provides unmatched applied learning opportunities.The centennial celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the college’s history and impact while looking ahead to its next chapter.
The event will include open houses in Corbin Education Center showcasing the college’s history, recognition at the Wichita State softball game on April 10 and centennial remarks and an alumni gathering on April 11.
Join us as we celebrate a century of preparing educators, leaders and professionals and look ahead to the future of the College of Education.
