Celebrate National GEAR UP Week! The day will open with an inspiring welcome from Associate Vice President Dr. Alicia Thompson and Vice President Dr. JaMarco Clark, setting the tone for a meaningful and engaging campus experience. Students will then discover Wichita State through a competitive campus scavenger hunt designed to build excitement, teamwork, and familiarity with the university environment.

During lunch, students will have the opportunity to connect with GEAR UP alumni, hear firsthand about their journeys, and see how college-going aspirations can become real outcomes. The afternoon will feature the high-energy, interactive "Genius Potential" experience, helping students identify their strengths, recognize their abilities, and think more intentionally about their future.

By the end of the day, students will leave with more than a bag of useful Wichita State swag. They will leave with stronger connections, greater confidence, a clearer sense of their own potential, and a more tangible vision of themselves as future college students.
