The Barton School of Business at Wichita State University welcomes leadership expert, educator, executive and author Margaret Andrews as its next distinguished speaker as part of the School’s Centennial celebration. An interactive keynote will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Doors will open at 9 a.m.

Andrews brings decades of experience spanning business and higher education to the Barton School for conversations focused on leadership, creativity, emotional intelligence and the skills professionals need to lead themselves and others effectively.

Following the program, attendees are invited to remain in Woolsey Hall for networking and a book signing with Andrews featuring Manage Yourself to Lead Others.  The event is free and open to the public. About Margaret Andrews

Andrews is a professional speaker, executive and academic leader with expertise spanning business, higher education and leadership development. She teaches several of Harvard’s most popular leadership courses and serves as Co-Faculty Director of an executive program at Harvard Medical School. Her career also includes leadership roles at MIT Sloan, Hult International Business School and Harvard University, as well as experience in accounting, marketing and strategy consulting. Today, she leads The MYLO Center, a private leadership development firm.

Andrews is the author of "Manage Yourself to Lead Others," published in 2025. Her writing has appeared in "Leader to Leader," "Training Industry Magazine" and "Psychology Today," and her work has been featured in publications including "Business Week," "Forbes," "The Wall Street Journal," and "The Times of India." She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her graduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
