Overview

Before returning to WSU to lead ADA & Section 504 Compliance, Krystal Iseminger served as the Director of Accessibility at Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology (WSU Tech), where she lead campus-wide efforts to advance accessibility, equity, and compliance across physical and digital environments while supporting faculty and staff in meeting accessibility initiatives, and directing the nationally recognized Accessibility Summer Camp, a virtual conference bringing together experts and practitioners from across the globe.

Krystal’s leadership is grounded in both scholarship and professional development. She earned her M.A. in English Language and Literature and her B.A. in Secondary English Education and English Language and Literature from Wichita State University. She is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership at Baker University, with anticipated completion in 2026. She completed the ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP) and earned her ADA Coordinator certification in 2025. She has also been honored with the International Ally User Group Catalyst Award and serves on the editorial board of the Including Disability Journal & Summit.

Her career in higher education began at Wichita State University, where she worked as an Instructional Designer and Online Lecturer, earning certification as a Quality Matters Master Reviewer, designing and delivering training on learning management systems and educational technologies, and teaching composition and literature courses that integrated accessibility-focused pedagogy.

Her research and professional interests include systemic accessibility, universal design, and the transformation of institutional culture from compliance to proactive inclusion. She has presented at national conferences such as Accessing Higher Ground and Anthology Together,

Beyond her professional commitments, Krystal is an avid a11y, animal advocate, and mom of four cherished cats. She loves sci-fi, cooking (and eating), gardening, music, singing, and the Wichita food scene.
