Overview

Skladzien joined Wichita State after serving almost ten years in private practice. Most recently, Skladzien worked as a partner at the Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP law firm in its Wichita office. There, she represented public entities and private businesses, focusing on employment, transactional, and general business matters. She interacted with government administrative agencies on behalf of corporations, counseled employers regarding policies and practices, advised federal contractors regarding their affirmative action obligations, and represented various entities (from public corporations to school districts to individual government officials) in civil litigation in both state court and federal court.

Skladzien graduated from Bethel College with a degree in history and restorative community justice; she received her Juris Doctor degree from Washburn University School of Law.
