Bio

Lucina Eubanks serves as the Transfer Student Experience Director for the 69th Session of the Student Government Association. Director Eubanks joined SGA for several reasons, one of the biggest being her desire to find a community at Wichita State University where she could be surrounded by like-minded individuals who share her passion for making a difference. Director Eubanks wanted to be involved with people who are passionate about creating positive change and making the university experience better for others. With that in mind, she chose to serve as Transfer Student Experience Director because she wanted to be more than just a voice for transfer students - she wants to be an advocate for them. Her goal is to make a positive impact by approaching the transfer experience with compassion, understanding, and intentionality. Ultimately, she hopes to help shape how transfer students adapt, become involved, and spend their time and Wichita State. Director Eubanks wants transfer students to feel that they have a place here, that their experiences matter, and that they have opportunities to build meaningful connections within the Wichita State community. 

Goal

Director Eubank's main goals for this Session are: 

  • To help transfer students feel welcomed, valued, and connected throughout their time at Wichita State by creating opportunities for them to build relationships and find their place within the University community. 
  • Encourage and connect transfer students with opportunities to participate in campus organizations, events, activities and traditions beyond transfer programming, helping them develop a well-rounded WSU experience outside of the classroom. 
  • To act as a resource transfer students can turn to when they need guidance, support, or simply someone who understands. She aims to make transfer students feel that they are not alone in their transition to Wichita State and that their is someone in their corner advocating for them.
