Bio
Josh Mallard serves as a Liberal Arts & Sciences Senator for the 69th Session of the Student Government Association. Senator Mallard has a love for rocks and plants so he came to Wichita State University to pursue environmental sciences. He is an avid animal lover owning several cats, a dog, and other aquatic, reptillian, and mammal companions. Senator Mallard joined the Student Government Association when he saw a need for LGBTQ+ representation. Senator Mallard also believed that he could change procedures and address student needs for the betterment of the student body. During his time in SGA, Senator Mallard has worked on No Smoking Resolutions as well as the Menstrual Product Initiative.
Goal
This Session, Senator Mallard hopes to continue his initiatives with updating the class registration process at Wichita State to make it easier and more transparent for students. He also hopes to work on handicapped parking on campus as well as the use of AI's by professors and Recognized Student Organizations.
Fun Fact
Outside of class, Senator Mallard enjoys playing video games and participation in the over 30 clubs he is a part of at Wichita State University.
