A: A: State baseball and softball are scheduled to take place on May 29-30, while state track is scheduled to take place May 30-31.
A: A: Construction is expected to be completed on the restroom/concession pavilion and the bleacher seating on the east side. Sidewalks and parking lot should be in place. There may be areas to the north and south that are still construction areas but those will be blocked off. We expect to have 5,800 bleacher seating with ADA seating in addition to men’s and women’s restrooms to accommodate those fans. A full-service concession stand in addition to satellite stands will also be available. There will be an expansive space between the new bleachers and existing track for this year’s meet, that space will be used for team camps.

A: Stop by the Marcus Welcome Center from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday or Friday and someone from the admissions team will be glad to offer one-on-one assistance. Group tour times are available in limited capacities on Thursday and Friday; call 316-978-4755 for more information.
There will be three on-site ticket locations: the east side of the stadium, the lobby of Koch Arena and the southwest hill location of the stadium.
A: Only credentialed workers, media, coaches and athletes with bib numbers in uniform are allowed on the infield of the stadium.
A: Kansas law allows that mothers can nurse their children in any area that is open to the public. If you’d prefer more privacy, we have a wellness room in Charles Koch Arena (on the west side of the track) for nursing mothers to use, in addition to a wellness room in the new east side pavilion.
A: Fans are allowed to bring one unopened bottle of water per person into Cessna Stadium. No other food or drink can be brought into the venue. Fans are encouraged to bring only what is needed, please visit www.goshockers.com and review the fan guide for Cessna Stadium.
A: We do not have water fountains within the stadium. Patrons are allowed to bring in one unopened bottle of water each, and re-entry is allowed.
A: Unfortunately, track, baseball and softball are all ticketed differently and require separate admission fees to attend each of those events.
A: Crossland Construction will wrap up Phase 1A of the stadium project right before the state track meet, with work expected to begin on Phase 1B immediately after the track meet and conclude by the end of calendar year 2025. The remaining Phase 2 (west side of stadium) is still in the fundraising phase of development. A firm timeline will be available when fundraising is complete.
A: Yes, there will be restrooms and concessions available inside Koch Arena for fans. Team camps will not be allowed inside the arena, and track spikes must be taken off prior to entry.
A: Please visit www.wichita.edu/state for a list of restaurants and places to visit on campus. Rhatigan Student Center and Braeburn Square have a variety of options for fans and teams so you don’t have to leave campus. Additionally, Wichita State Connect is a space where fans and teams can get out of the weather and relax while waiting for the next event.
A: Yes, please make sure you get your hand stamped when you leave and you will be allowed to come and go as you desire.
A: Please visit https://www.wichita.edu/parking for maps and lot locations. Visitors are welcome to park anywhere on campus except for red reserved stalls. There are disability (ADA) parking spaces located throughout campus. Should you need assistance getting to and from the stadium, please keep an eye out for the many golf carts that will be offering free rides to and from the stadium. If you see one and would like a ride, please flag us down and we will be happy to help.
A: Wichita State does not charge guests for parking on its campus and has more than 8,000 available parking spaces. If spectators choose to park off campus, they are encouraged to abide by all city traffic and parking regulations and respect businesses and private property. There are businesses surrounding our campus that do charge for parking. You are welcome to engage with them, but Wichita State does not have any control over their pricing and policies.
A: There are plenty of parking spaces on the Wichita State campus to accommodate all spectators who are coming for every event. Our campus has more than 8,000 parking spaces and will have at least 10 golf carts running nonstop to provide transportation options for fans who do not have close parking to the stadium. All parking on our campus and all golf cart rides are free of charge.
A: There are not designated pick up or drop off locations for golf carts. Our program is designed to be flexible in order to pick up and drop off at various locations across campus and best serve the needs of our campus guests. There will be at least 10 carts traveling various parts of campus. Please feel free to flag one down.
A: No, spectators are welcome to come and sit on the east side as well. This is often a favorite location for anyone with an interest in watching pole vault.
A: Team camps will be allowed in the space between the new east bleachers and the existing track on the east side. The first three rows on the west side in the bleachers on the north and south side of the press box will be available for team camps as well. Order of camp selection will follow the same process as past years.
A: Media will have a space in the lobby of Koch Arena complete with power, internet access and a live feed of the track meet. The space will be climate-controlled, and drinks will be available for media members.
A: Decisions on activities are made independently in each facility based on several factors — including but not limited to the number of spectators, projected evacuation time, progress of the event, and distance and severity of the potential storm. In all venues, activity will be stopped and spectators evacuated and sent to a safe shelter by the time lightning is within 8 miles of the venue.

A: Phases 1A will be completed prior to the 2025 meet and 1B (field and track) will be completed by the 2026 State Championship Meet. The remaining Phase 2 (west side of stadium) is still in the fundraising phase of development. A firm timeline will be available when fundraising is complete.
A: The design is still in progress for Phase 2, but the intentions are to have enough seating capacity to continue to host all classes of the KSHSAA State High School Track Meet in Wichita. Phase 1A will include new seating, restrooms and concessions and will be complete by May 2025. Phase 1B will include a nine-lane track with a soccer pitch inside the track.
A: We are actively fundraising for the west side of the stadium with the intention to begin demolition and rebuild immediately after the 2026 State Track Meet pending availability of funds.
