Trunk or Treat is an event for families and kids of all ages to interact with Wichita State University student organizations, campus departments, and community partners by participating in a fun and safe-alternative to traditional trick or treating! A variety of activities, crafts, and treats for all will be available! 

Trunk or Treat admission is free. 

 

Trunk Participant Rules

  1. Members must provide enough candy and/or giveaways for up to 500 children (approx. 1,000 pieces or 10 lb), with each child receiving 1-2 pieces of candy per car.
  2. Each car must be accompanied by a minimum of three members of the participating organization at all times.
  3. Car(s) and participants must remain on site for the entirety of the event (12:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.), this is integral to the safety of the program's participants.
  4. Car(s) must be fully decorated by 12:30 p.m. on the day of the event.
  5. Cars and members must arrive between 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. This is integral to the safety of event goers.
  6. No toy weapons such as guns, knives, etc. are permitted and no scary masks.
  7. Parking spaces will not be pre-assigned, cars will be placed based on time of arrival.
  8. No open flames, fireworks or flammable liquids.
  9. Electric lights and accessories are permitted if powered by a battery. Neither electricity nor batteries will be provided.
  10. Engines must remain off for the duration of the event.
  11. Use of alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes is strictly prohibited.
  12. For the privacy and safety of all participants, we kindly request that no photographs or videos of children be taken or shared on social media. However, we encourage you to capture and share pictures of your trunk and group to highlight your creative efforts and support!
