Wichita State offers 200+ recognized student organizations across a wide range of categories like academic, cultural, religious,  special interest and sports clubs. Joining an RSO can help you make friends, expand your professional network and gain leadership skills. If you don't see something that interests you, start your own student organization. 

Many of the events you see on campus are planned by students, for students. Our Ambassadors for Diversity & Inclusion and Student Activities Council offer membership throughout the year and have an amazing schedule of events planned. Fraternity and Sorority Life, oftentimes called Greek Life, is a group of student organizations that focus on community, academics, leadership, and service. Wichita State's community is comprised of 26 Greek-letter organizations that are connected nationally or internationally. Visit our FSL page to learn how to join.

Wichita State is dedicated to inclusive excellence and celebrating the many cultural backgrounds of our student body. Our first program of the semester includes our Hispanic Heritage Month.

Our Community Service Board is a student-led group dedicated to strengthening awareness on major topics and creating opportunities for students to serve in the local community. Visit VolunteerICT to connect with service experiences like Food Bank Fridays, Wednesday's at the Diner, After School Tutoring and our annual Wu's Big Event. 

SGA serves to advocate for the student body through their three branches of government, agencies, and the student advocates. Interested in advocacy or learning more about government operations, consider a seat on the Senate. SGA also supports student organizations, oversees the Shocker Support Locker and most recently instituted a free menstrual product program featured at over 20 on-campus locations.
