Jan 11, 2013 — By WSU News Services — The Human Factors Psychology Graduate program recently was granted a six-year reaccreditation by the Human Factors and Ergonomic Society (HFES). WSU is one of only 15 graduate programs in the United States and Canada that is accredited by HFES. The program has graduated 57 doctoral students since 1995.

This WSU tradition was established in 1962 by the late Nicholas Pronko, professor emeritus of psychology. Pronko felt that money normally spent on cards and postage could help fund a scholarship for deserving students. This year, the fund provided four scholarships worth more than $1,000 each. The
