May 14, 2012 — By WSU News Services — The funeral for Phil Bowers will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, at Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Rock Road. A section will be reserved for Wichita State. Bowers died Thursday, May 10. He was 56. Bowers was assistant director for TRIO Disability Support Services. He worked at WSU for 23 years.
