Aug 26, 2011 — By WSU News Services — A memorial service for Hugh C. "Butch" Thompson scheduled for Saturday has been canceled. However, a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Kechi Cemetery. Thompson, recently retired landscaper and equipment operator, passed away Friday, Aug. 19. He was 60. He served WSU for 28 years, retiring in July 2011.
