McCart was scheduled to graduate May 2010, and was a student in the College of Education, curriculum and instruction. Her family has established a memorial with the WSU Foundation -- the Stephanie J. McCart Memorial in the WSU College of Education. Services were held March 18 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead, Kan.
