Student-led initiative brings TEDx to Wichita State

This spring, TEDxWichitaStateUniversity will be held on the campus of Wichita State.

The event is set for 4:30 p.m. April 27, in the CAC Theater.

The student-led initiative seeks to spread the experiences of knowledgeable professors, student leaders, successful community activists and university alumni.

TEDxWichitaStateUniversity will provide the university and community the opportunity to share their beliefs gained from years of training and experiences.

The license for the event was secured by Puvindren Supramaniam, an entrepreneurship student from Malaysia.

In collaboration with Hannah Hund, a biomedical engineering and violin performance major, under the auspices of Student Involvement, the program seeks to expand programming on campus while inspiring student, staff, faculty and community partners.

The theme for the program is “Curiosity, Creativity and Connection.” Nine speakers will be featured in three blocks and include WSU students and faculty, as well as community members.

Tickets are $5 for WSU students, $15 for WSU faculty / staff and $25 for community members.
