March 22, 2020 -- Wichita State University President Jay Golden has put out a request to any WSU employee or department to donate any personal protective equipment to frontline health care providers.

March 2, 2020 -- Nine Wichita State graduate students joined with graduate students from all of the Kansas Board of Regents universities and presented at the 17th annual Capitol Graduate Research Summit in Topeka on Feb. 26.

Feb. 27, 2020 - Wichita State University political science professor Dinorah Azpuru is doing her part to help people’s understanding of political science with her work in the Washington Post “The Monkey Cage,” a blog dedicated to “making sense of the circus that is politics,” as the blog describes itself. She has submitted three articles to the blog, most recently one that examines declining trust in and support for democracy in Latin America

Feb. 27, 2020 - Wichita State graduate student Monica Connelly's research involves studying weapon detection by law enforcement officers using biological motion as a cue.

Feb. 26, 2020 -- Wichita State University and WSU Ventures have entered into a new strategic partnership with California-based Lightning Diversion Systems, a Ducommun Company. The partnership involves the exclusive licensing of a lightning strike protection system for rotor blades in the wind turbine industry.

Feb. 26, 2020 -- When Lacie Leatherman needed help filing a patent for her business, she turned to WSU’s Gateway to IP program. As a part of WSU Ventures, Gateway to IP is designed to advance innovation while protecting intellectual property.

Feb. 21, 2020 -- Wichita State University was one of more than 40 universities around the world that competed in a 48-hour global design competition called “Invent For The Planet.” Wichita State has participated as a regional hub in Invent For the Planet (IFTP) for the past three years.

Feb. 20, 2020 -- Brian Amos, assistant professor of political science at Wichita state, has dedicated numerous papers and conferences to gerrymandering research.

Feb. 12, 2020 -- Wichita State University Police Department has over 30 commissioned officer and 18 support staff members. WSUPD offers many resources  across campus which help protect and keep students, faculty and staff safe.

Jan. 27, 2020 -- While Wichita has plenty of local breweries, one amenity lacking has been a local winery. For Wichitan Jennifer Dawn, her passion for growing grapes and creating wine inspired a new business that customers are now flocking to.

Jan. 16, 2020 -- The Wichita State University Police Department has been named as one of the Top 25 programs in the country for its focus on safety.

Dec. 12, 2019 -- A key component in the advancement of innovation is protecting intellectual property. WSU Ventures recently initiated a new program to place Wichita State University students at the forefront of this field.

Dec. 11, 2019 -- Wichita State graduate student Tammy Dorsey and her company, Prenatal Hope, recently reached a No. 11 rank on the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School’s Most Fundable Companies List.

Dec. 9, 2019 -- Five teams of Wichita State University students emerged as finalists in the Koch Innovation Challenge, held Dec. 6.
