SEM Project, Team, and Initiative Awards

Tell us a story about project that has moved "mountains", a team that has made a difference, or a cross-functional initiative that advances retention and the student experience at Wichita State. 
 
The SEM Project Award is given to the team or teams — faculty, staff, or both — who have made a notable contribution in our efforts to meet our Strategic Enrollment Management goals. 
 
Nominations will be evaluated based on the impact made. Nominated projects or initiatives can anything that:
  • Represents a new effort, process change, or team effort, rather than the work of an individual
  • Has made a notable impact on one or more of the university’s SEM Goals and the president's goal "...of presenting WSU as an open and welcoming place where all students can be successful...":
      • Goal 1: Advance activities by faculty, staff, students, and alumni that promote a positive experience that fosters a culture of enrollment growth. 
      • Goal 2: Increase enrollment of new, degree-bound students.
      • Goal 3: Increase persistence rates of degree seeking student populations.
      • Goal 4: Increase non-degree for-credit enrollment.

Nominations should include specific reference(s) to the stretegies in the SEM plan that the project or initiative advances as well as concrete examples of service. Letters of support are welcome but not required.

Nominations are due by April 8, 2022.  Nominations can be submitted by a WSU employee (faculty or staff), and are made by completing the SEM Nomination Webform, and may be supported by up to two letters of support (submitted with the form).
