IEEE-HKN Epsilon Xi Awards

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and IEEE-HKN Epsilon Xi Chapter come together at the end of each semester to celebrate success of our graduates by honoring the best students with awards. The finalists and winners will be recognized during the end of the semester celebrations immediately after commencement ceremony.

The recognizing the excellence through these awards is a key aspect of IEEE-HKN Epsilon Xi Chapter and therefore, it will be our honor to identify and award those who display the 3 ideals that we seek for in an individual:

Scholarship - Character - Attitude

Award Categories

IEEE-HKN James Maxwell Award is presented to the outstanding graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, character and attitude. This award is presented in both Spring and Fall semesters.

IEEE-HKN Charles Wheatstone Award is presented to the outstanding graduating graduate student (MS and Ph.D.) who has demonstrated excellence in scholarship, ability to learn independently, character and attitude. This award is presented in both Spring and Fall semesters.

IEEE-HKN Nicola Tesla Award is presented to the the faculty of the year as voted by the students. This award is only presented in the Fall semester.

IEEE-HKN Michael Faraday Award is presented to the the outstanding graduate teaching assistant as voted by the students. This award is only presented in the Fall semester.
