Formula SAE
The Formula SAE team at WSU is student-run with a mission to design and build high-performance race cars by applying engineering knowledge and skills to real-world challenges. The team strives to foster a collaborative and innovative environment where students can develop their technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities. Through their participation in Formula SAE competitions, they aim to push the boundaries of automotive engineering and inspire future generations of engineers.
Baja SAE
WSU's Baja SAE racing team is a dynamic student organization passionate about off-road racing. They design, build, and race all-terrain vehicles, embodying engineering excellence and teamwork. Through Baja SAE competitions, they showcase technical prowess and a spirit of collaboration, dedication, and motorsports excellence.

American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE)
ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry. Through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education, ASHRAE shapes tomorrow's built environment today. ASHRAE was formed as the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers by the merger in 1959 of American Society of Heating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHAE) founded in 1894 and The American Society of Refrigerating Engineers (ASRE) founded in 1904.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
ASME is a not-for-profit membership organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development across all engineering disciplines, toward a goal of helping the global engineering community develop solutions to benefit lives and livelihoods.

Engineers Without Borders (EWB)
Engineers Without Borders - Wichita State University (EWB-WSU) is a student chapter of EWB-USA, a non-profit organization founded in 2002 . They actively support community-driven development programs by collaborating with local partners to design and implement sustainable engineering projects, while creating transformative experiences and responsible leaders.

Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE)
The SAMPE Student Organization is a part of the international Society for the Advancement of Materials and Prosess Engineering (SAMPE) organization which is a professional organization with a chapter in Wichita, KS.This makes it very convienient for the SAMPE student organization members to attend the local chapter's meetings.The purpose of the organization is to stimulate student interest in Materials Engineering, especially with regard to the advancement of the manufacturing and processing of materials, and disseminate scientific knowledge in order to play a part in providing solutions to industry's need for advanced materials.
The student organization also is involved in designing and building a robot to compete in the Mercury Remote Robot challenge at OSU in Stillwater, OK. Students can jump start their career by developing contacts in industry as well as getting experience in engineering.

Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME)
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers is the world's leading professional society advancing manufacturing knowledge and influencing more than half a million manufacturing practitioners annually. Through its communities, publications, expositions and professional development resources, SME promotes an increased awareness of manufacturing engineering and keeps manufacturing professionals up to date on leading trends and technologies.
