Electrical & Computer Engineering/Computer Science
The Senior Design capstone course is a two semester sequence in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department. Interdisciplinary groups of computer engineering, computer science, and electrical engineering students work to create prototypes for industry inspired projects. Students learn industry design processes, workflows, and have to research their projects to comply with standards and answer societal needs. The Senior Design sequence currently has more than 150 students enrolled, with 56 students also working on service learning credit.
Projects include public safety, public awareness, public service, industry collaboration, special education, disability services, student services, and other special projects for the Police and Fire departments.
Our projects focus on learning industry ways, new hands-on skills, developing talents, making a difference, and having some fun.
