For more than six decades, SWE has given women engineers a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. Our organization is a non-profit centered around a passion for our members' success and continues to evolve with the challenges and opportunities reflected in today's exciting engineering and technology specialties. SWE encourages women in STEM fields to attain high levels of education and professional achievement, and seeks to inform and educate young women in the opportunities that are available in the STEM fields.
SWE provides collegiate members with a unique experience in the pursuit of their STEM-related degree with the opportunity to inspire future generations and have fun. SWE also provides collegiate members valuable access to a unique set of resources that sets the stage for a successful career. Through attending the SWE Annual Conference, members can gain leadership skills, attend professional development workshops, and participate in one of the nation's largest engineering career fairs. Through mentoring and networking, members have the opportunity to make professional contacts locally, nationally, and internationally, and the opportunity to further narrow the search for the perfect job, simply by communicating with your contacts.
