We envision a sustainable partnership that brings together public and private organizations, scholars, and the local community in building models for the use of knowledge for public good.

What is it?

The Field School of Applied Anthropology is a collaboration of the Department of Anthropology, WSU, and Ark City. Through research on questions of relevance to the local community, the Field School provides training opportunities to students in research skills and methods.

Field School Goals:

  1. Train on anthropological research methods
  2. Document common problems in the community and use this information to advise policy
