For high school seniors and transfer students

This event is tailored for students ready to take the next step in their musical journey. Attendees will have the opportunity to:

Audition for admission into the School of Music
Be considered for music scholarships
Explore campus and facilities
Attend mini-classes and ensemble rehearsals
Connect with faculty, staff and current students

Fall Future Music Major Day is the ideal time to experience what it’s like to be a music major at Wichita State while completing important steps in the admissions process.

Spring Future Music Major Day

8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday, March 6, 2026

For all high school students and transfer students

This event is designed to welcome students at all stages of their college search. Whether you’re a freshman, sophomore, junior or transfer student, you’ll get a first look at what it means to study music at WSU. The day includes:

Campus and facility tours
Sample classes and ensemble rehearsals
Q&A sessions with faculty and current students
Information about programs, ensembles and scholarships

There is no audition requirement to attend the spring event—just curiosity and a passion for music.
