A defining feature of Wichita State Musical Theatre is the opportunity to participate in the development of original work.
Through the Jo Zakas Musical Theatre Incubator, you will collaborate directly with professional writers and composers while exploring
the workshop, revision, and feedback processes that bring new musicals to life. You
will gain insight into how musicals evolve from initial concepts to staged presentations
while developing skills in collaboration, adaptability, dramaturgy, and artistic problem-solving.
You will also benefit from residencies, workshops, and productions led by professional
guest artists who bring current industry perspectives directly into the rehearsal
room.
