Inside the Program

MHA students gain connections in the field

Students in health administration acquire real-world experience and exposure to the profession through practicum placement in a health service organization.

The practicum can be completed within the student’s local community, expanding opportunities for networking and potential career placement in a location of their choosing.

Mentorship with advisory board members and alumni provides additional connection for professional growth and engagement in the field.

The online MHA program consists of 42 credit hours, including 3 elective hours and a practicum experience. Learn from current and former hospital executives and health service professionals who connect content expertise with real-world, health care leadership experience.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field of health administration is projected to grow 20 percent through 2026 — faster than average compared to other careers. A master’s degree in health administration allows you to move beyond entry-level and mid-management positions, opening the door for advancement in executive positions. The MHA degree will enhance your leadership potential for directing hospitals and health service organizations, overseeing medical practices, coordinating clinics and medical systems, and supervising local, state or federal health agencies.
